1940s Black Lacquer American Carved Swan-Form Settee

This wonderfully detailed solid mahogany hand carved swan settee, would be the focus of any room. Its tub form, with a padded back in reeded top rail, down swept arms are carved into intricate winged swans, ending in scrolls, its crown seat on an apron of rosettes, raised on sabre legs that curve to emulate cavalry sabers from Greek and Roman eras. Newly lacquered and re-upholstered.
