Brass-Clad Chests in Manner of Sarreid Ltd., Circa 1970s
DESCRIPTION
A desirable brass-clad chest of heirloom quality, purchased in 1970's. Attributed to the Spanish Design House Sarreid Ltd. It is unique in that it combines modern styling with Asian and campaign influences. Perfectly proportioned, the wood case wrapped in brass, fitted with three drawers, Chinoiserie style pulls with campaign details to corners. Mounted on newly lacquered black Ming style base offers the most wonderful design affect. Very well made and sturdy. Original Unrestored Condition: drawers clean and fully functional, beautifully patinated with light scuffs, ding scratches to top that does not detract from it’s beauty. Very rare to find these pieces in any condition. This versatile piece can be used as a nightstand, end table, or simply a decorative chest will be the perfect addition to any interior.

Good. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Brass in original unrestored condition: beautifully patinated with minor abrasions, ding & surface marks common to pieces of this age, does not detract from it’s beauty.
