  • DESCRIPTION

When Florence Knoll revolutionized private office design by replacing the typical executive desk with a table desk, she needed a place for all the filing and storage that had traditionally lived in desk drawers. Her solution, executed in typical Florence Knoll elegance, was the long credenza. “I did it because I needed the piece of furniture for a job and it wasn’t there, so I designed it.” We are delighted to offer you this beautifully refinished long sideboard/credenza, model no. 541. A modern take on the Classic, an eye-catching black and white lacquer finish. This piece has ample storage features sliding doors with leather pulls that reveal a shelf within each of the four sections. Adjustable shelves allow for internal configuration to suite one's needs. The credenza stands on black metal legs. A classic design for home or office use. Literature: 1949 Knoll Ad published in House & Garden.
