Pair of 1940s Otto Schulz Easy Chairs

Pair of luxurious "Schulz" easy chairs by Otto Schultz for Jio Möbler, Sweden. Very early edition featuring large and curved back rests professionally re-upholstered in a grey velvet on stained beech legs, sheath at the front and saber at the back. Incredibly comfortable!

This chair was designed in 1936 by Swedish designer Otto Schulz, representing a more round and curvy style that was about to become popular in the 1940's. Originally produced by BOET, this pair was produced by Jio Möbler.

Good. Refinished. Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. New upholstery and the legs have been professionally refinished.
