Pair of Black "Channel" Chairs Designed by Roger Sprunger for Dunbar
DESCRIPTION
Fabulous pair of over sized "Channel" cube chairs designed by Roger Sprunger for Dunbar furniture in the 1960s. These chairs are for those that favour minimalism and clean lines. Dramatic horizontal channel tufting for trend-forward texture paired with smartly tailored upholstery is sure to start a rivalry to traditional tufted chairs! Unique slender support legs in ebonized finish that gives these chairs the illusion of being suspended in thin air. These offer roomy, casual seating with a striking, modernist silhouette that doesn't compromise comfort. Completely restored. These chairs are the perfect use-it-everywhere pieces, will create a glamorous, eye-catching look!
Roger Sprunger was resident designer of Dunbar Furniture for 25 years. A graduate of Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids, MI, he served in the U.S. Army for 3 1/2 years during World War II.
