Pair of Louis XV Style Sculpture of Madame de Pompadour as Sphinxes

A true pair of Directoire garden sphinxes in the likeness of the 18th century court mistress, Madame de Pompadour. The elegant figures depicted on a robed and tasseled body of a sphinx. Have gathered a nice texture and patina. Can be used both indoor and outdoor.

These sphinxes are a reinterpretation of the stone ones that are installed in the garden of the castle of Ménars.
