Pair of "Ribbon" Lounge Chairs and Ottomans by Pierre Paulin

Pair of sculptural Ribbon chairs model no. F 582 and footstools model no. P 582 designed by Pierre Paulin. Manufactured by Artifort and distributed by Turner Ltd in the late 1960s. Incredible swooping lines and contoured shape, an innovative vision on the well-known ribbon form. Professionally re-upholstered in a dark grey almost black fabric over black lacquered pedestal base. The color combination is dynamic and luxurious. An Iconic design by Pierre Paulin, these are as much pieces of sculpture as furniture. Sexy, playful, exuberant yet comfortable, his furniture is above all supple and lively.
