Stunning 1930s Dorothy Draper Black Lacquered Cabinet
DESCRIPTION
This is a two-door cabinet designed by Dorothy Draper, circa 1940s. Fully restored, it features an unusual serpentine front and the two elegant sculpted doors with hand carved, gilt leaf pulls open to reveal a removable shelf all in a black lacquer finish. The Classic cabinet reflects her aesthetic.
Dorothy Draper was an American interior decorator known for her anti-Minimalist, bright colored and large print style. Draper created a style known as "Modern Baroque" which added a modern touch to a classical style.
